The Dance Connection of Hillsborough
Private
The Dance Connection runs a full-day summer dance camp for children ages 5 to 11 in which campers take ballet, jazz and hip-hop classes each week and also take on group challenges, arts and crafts, and finish each week with a live showcase performance. Camp runs Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, from July 3 through August 11, and families can sign up for a single week or several. Weekly themes are drawn from popular movies and musicals, including Green & Pink, King of the Jungle, and Aladdin and the 40 Thieves; the studio also runs separate theatre camps.

Powered by GoogleFrom the moment our daughter stepped foot into the Dance Connection at 3 year old- she’s loved it. Two years later- and she loves it just as much. The instructors and programs are all excellent (with special appreciation for Ms Helina, Mr David and Ms Carissa) We highly recommend them!
My daughter absolutely loves her acro class with Ms. Helina. The studio a staff are warm, welcoming and kind!
My daughter loves the Dance Connection and Mr. David! The staff is so friendly and amazing with kids of all ages. The dance classes are very engaging and interactive. We have so much fun every week!
This was my daughter’s 2nd year with Dance Connection and we absolutely love it. Mr. David is so incredible with the kids and has the most patience I’ve seen in any teacher. If you are looking for a dance studio in the area, this is the one!
My daughter has been taking ballet with The Dance Connection for several years now. She and I feel like we found our "dance home" here. Every teacher she has danced with has not only been knowledgeable and accomplished but also fun and kind which is very important for cultivating a love of ballet and also the desire to push on. David the owner, an accomplished dancer and also a teacher there always offers a welcoming smile to the children and is always available to the parents. He certainly has a way with children. I remember when my daughter started dancing at his school she hated her tights and refused to go to class filling the waiting area with her screams. David was so gentle and reassuring and managed to get her to pull it together and join the class! All the staff are wonderful as are the families that that share my love of this school. I also want to compliment David and his staff for pushing on despite the COVID pandemic. Dance has never stopped for my daughter. Virtual classes went off without a moments hesitation when the world shut down. He put together a virtual recital in front of a green screen last June! Pretty amazing! Classes picked up on schedule this September. Small classes, social distancing and masks but the dance goes on. I'm so grateful for this little bit of normal and the smile on my daughter's face when she takes off that mask after class and tells me "Mommy that was fun!"
