The facility is nice, but the main reason we come here is our coach, Cristobal. He is amazing at what he does and the best coach we have worked with. He makes sure to teach proper form and technique from the start which has really made a huge difference in our game. If anyone is looking to learn and improve at pickleball, highly recommend Coach Cristobal!

This is by far the best pickle ball place to play at. They are so professional and welcoming. I’ve played in a good number of leagues which are run perfectly. They accommodate everyone. We actually have a group that play every Sunday night and have never had a problem (trust me our group is 40 plus people and everything runs smoothly and everyone has a great time). The staff is so friendly from the moment you walk in. Thank you for everything.

Coach Matthew has been working with my 8 year old daughter for the past 2 years, and we couldn't be more pleased with the progress she's made. His ability to balance structured sessions with the right amount of fun keeps her engaged and excited to play tennis. As she's begun competing, he has been key in helping her build strong fundamentals and confidence on the court. We are grateful for the positive impact he's had on her development and love for the sport. Highly recommend Coach Matthew to any parent looking for a coach who understands how to help grow young talent!

I have a vast array of personal and professional experiences with The Courts of McKinney and their leadership. I have been so impressed by the professionalism, humility, and generosity of Matt Hanlin. As the leader of the local chapter of Buddy Up Pickleball, I have witnessed first hand his team's reflection of his leadership. Melissa and the coaches have given excellent and attentive instruction to our players on all levels. No matter what need arises while we are there, they are quick to help, always going above and beyond in the most friendly way. Furthermore their organization and community involvement during PPA were first notch. The grounds, the staff, and the vibe communicate you are welcome here because of their attention to detail and to each person who walks through the doors.

Let’s just get this out of the way: yes, there are tennis courts here. And yes, I’ve seen people on them — once, maybe twice. It’s honestly kind of cute. Tennis feels like the sport your parents made you take lessons in before you had opinions. Respectfully, I’ll pass. It’s too much running and not enough joy. Meanwhile, just a few feet away, the pickleball courts are buzzing. Laughter, smack talk, fast hands, broken egos — it’s everything I never knew I needed. I came to McKinney Pickleball and Tennis Center on a random invite. I had no paddle, no strategy, and no idea what I was doing. One game turned into three. Now I’m here multiple times a week, sweating, competing, making friends, and genuinely having the time of my life. It’s hard to describe what this place has done for me without sounding dramatic — but whatever, I’ll say it: pickleball here changed my life. It’s not just the game (though it is addicting). It’s the people. It’s the rhythm of showing up early, hitting a couple warm-up shots, getting into a flow. It’s playing with someone 30 years older than you who absolutely destroys you — and then teaches you how they did it. It’s the conversations between games, the little jokes, the random life stories. It’s that feeling of belonging, without having to try too hard to “fit in.” And the facility itself? Awesome. Courts are clean, well-kept, and always feel alive. The vibe is welcoming, not cliquey. You don’t need to be good, you just need to show up — the rest kind of takes care of itself. Parking’s easy, bathrooms are solid, and the staff leaves you alone in the best way possible. I’m in better shape now — physically and mentally. I laugh more. I move more. I’ve met people I genuinely care about. It’s like this little pocket of the week where life slows down just enough to matter. So yeah, the tennis courts are technically still there. But for me? It’s pickleball or nothing. And this place made it everything.
