Powered by GoogleDropped into The Cave CrossFit. Extremely well run gym that offers CrossFit and Hyrox classes. Coach Ron knows his stuff and does a great job at tailoring the workout to your abilities.
My daughter attends the Saturday morning gymnastics class. Unfortunately, our experience has been very inconsistent depending on the instructor. Shawn, the instructor who teaches at the same time is excellent, he interacts with the children, encourages them, gives positive feedback, and creates a supportive learning environment. The kids in his group seem engaged and confident. However, the female instructors assigned to the other group have been very disappointing. They show the course once and then mostly stand and watch. There is very little interaction, no encouragement, and no guidance throughout the class. These are 4- and 5-year-old children who need support, engagement, and positive reinforcement. I rarely hear a “good job” or see active coaching. Week after week, the level of enthusiasm and involvement from these instructors has been lacking. For young children especially, energy, facial expression, encouragement, and interaction make a huge difference in their experience and development. I truly hope the program can ensure a consistent standard of quality across all instructors, because the difference between groups is very noticeable.
I’ve been training at The Cave consistently for the past six months, and I honestly can’t say enough good things—especially about Coach Ron and Coach Shawn. The CrossFit classes are so much fun, and now that The Cave has become affiliated with HYROX, the programming has gotten even better. I’ve learned an incredible number of new skills, gained so much confidence, and pushed myself in ways I didn’t think I could—all while genuinely enjoying every class. Ron and Shawn are next-level coaches. They truly hone in on technique and movement quality, making sure you’re doing things the right way, not just the hard way. At the same time, the vibes are immaculate. They keep the energy high, and the room engaged. Shawn’s gymnastics coaching is especially fantastic, come to adult gym!! and Ron’s ability to cue, motivate, and bring out the best in everyone is unmatched. You can tell they genuinely care about their athletes and about building a strong, supportive community. If you’re looking for a gym that combines excellent coaching, skill development, serious training, and an unbeatable atmosphere—this is it. The Cave is something special. 💪🔥
I was disappointed with a phone call regarding payment after I had already entered my credit card on the website. When I asked what the payment was for, I was repeatedly talked over and the staff member (Auriyon) seemed put out by having to explain. The call began by noting it was recorded for training purposes, so hopefully Roger reviews these calls and uses them as a coaching opportunity. First impressions matter.
I’ve enrolled in the Cave’s Parent & Me toddler classes for both of my daughters over the past few years, each time hopeful for a fun and engaging experience. Unfortunately, both times left me disappointed. The instructor sat in the corner during every session and provided no instruction or meaningful interaction, beyond setting up an obstacle course at the beginning of class. There was a noticeable lack of energy, engagement, or guidance, which made the class feel underwhelming and not worth the cost. I do see how the programs for older children seem more structured and enjoyable, but at the toddler level, this class didn’t meet expectations. I really hope the program finds an instructor who’s passionate about working with toddlers and can bring some energy, creativity, and FUN into these sessions. With the right leader, this class has the potential to be a wonderful experience for both kids and parents!
