Powered by GoogleI have attended the Arts Student Exchange for 10+ years, starting from when I was in 4th grade. Not only did Connie teach me art, she helped me get into every single college that I applied to, as well as teaching me many life lessons. She is incredibly kind and experienced, and somebody that I know that always has my back!
Our daughter has been going to Connie’s studio for almost 10 years, starting from a very young age, and it has been one of the most meaningful parts of her growth. Connie Art Studio is not a traditional classroom where everyone follows the same project. Instead, each student creates based on their own interests, personality, and creative direction. Connie truly understands each child — she knows how they think, what they enjoy, and how to gently guide their artistic development while preserving their individuality. What makes Connie especially special is that she cares not only about art skills, but also about the child as a whole person. She supports their confidence, independence, and emotional growth. Our daughter has always loved going to the studio and feels safe, understood, and inspired there. We are deeply grateful for Connie’s dedication, warmth, and mentorship over the years. This studio is truly a gem.
My daughter has been working with Connie for over 10 years. In addition to being a great artist, Connie is the most thoughtful and caring educator I've worked with. Connie makes sincere effort to understand each of her student, not only helping art skill improvement, but also attending to the overall development of her student with art and freedom of creative thinking as tool. Thank you Connie for everything you've done, and I look forward to many more wonderful years you will give to this community!
If you are someone who cares about getting high quality art instruction in a fun and open community environment, this is the place to go. Connie is not only a fantastic instructor, but a critical creative thinker and passionate mentor who cares deeply about supporting and challenging her students to grow. Over a decade later, I still regularly create art and the way I approach drawing, composition, and critical thinking are all shaped by her influence.
The Art Students' Exchange is a hidden gem. The atmosphere is calm, warm, and welcoming—whether you’re a seasoned artist or just starting out. There’s this lovely camaraderie among diligent students, creating a space that feels inspiring and peaceful. Every time I visit, I walk away feeling creatively recharged. Truly a special place!
