Powered by GoogleI had an incredible experience with Telluride Adaptive Sports this year. They hosted me and two of my close Marine Corps brothers, Brandon and Ira, and the entire trip was something we’ll never forget. Even with challenging conditions on the mountain, we had an amazing time honing our skills as skiers and snowboarders. The staff was unbelievably friendly and accommodating from start to finish. A special thanks to Tim, who helped me plan the trip this year and made the whole process smooth and easy. The volunteers and instructors were outstanding. Kyle, Kula, Ted, and John "Condor", and Abby went above and beyond working with us on the mountain. They especially helped my buddy Ira learn how to make turns on a snowboard for the first time. By the time we were flying home, he was already looking up prices for a new snowboard because he can’t wait to do it again. I also want to give a heartfelt thank you to the generous donors who support Telluride Adaptive Sports. Without their support, the powerful work of replacing memories of war with new memories in a place as incredible as Telluride simply wouldn’t be possible. Thank you for giving veterans like us an experience we will carry with us for the rest of our lives.
Our ski trip to Telluride would not be nearly as successful as it was without the wonderful volunteers of the adaptive sports program! They made skiing for our 6ft tall autistic son not only possible, but also fun! Malia was extremely helpful. She went above and beyond for our son. They brought music along with them on the slopes, making every skiing session a "dance party", which he was really looking forward to!
TASP is an amazing nonprofit program focused on enriching the lives of participants through outdoor recreation. The staff and volunteers are genuinely committed to the service they provide their clients. In short; these people are changing lives for the better! I highly recommend this program and would encourage donating as well.
TASP is a world class outfit. Getting everyone, no matter the ability, on the snow to have fun is the name of the game. All the instructors are awesome and you are sure to have an experience of a lifetime!
You cannot believe how well organized a program TASP is from A to Z. My family always was treated so nicely. The folks who work and volunteer at TASP are some of the highest quality folks I have had the pleasure of meeting.
