Telluride Academy offers experiential outdoor day camps for children and teens ages 5-17, based at Telluride Intermediate School. Campers kayak, rock climb, paddle high-alpine lakes, backpack (including llama treks), horseback ride and mountain bike, with art and acting also offered; older teens can join multi-day overnight adventure trips such as Moab. The season spans about ten weeks (June through mid-August), enrolled by weekly session. Operating since 1981.
