Taste O' Music is an instrument-exploration camp on Mercer Island run by high school students from Mercer Island High School, where campers try eight different instruments - flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, violin and cello - at a 1-to-1 child-to-instrument ratio so they can work out which one to pursue. Sessions run five days at three hours a day (9:00am-12:00pm, with an afternoon session also offered) at $295, no experience needed, in mini groups of three campers per counselor. Partial and full scholarships are available on request. The published schedule on the site is for 2023 and no current-year sessions are posted.
