The Summerville Family YMCA at The Ponds, at 101 Pottery Circle, runs the YMCA's nine-week summer day camp along with more than 40 specialty camps. Each week of day camp centers on a different region of the world, with group games, hands-on workshops, creative challenges and friendly competition; specialty camps cover a range of interests and age groups. Camp serves ages 5-12 with operating hours of 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and includes swimming, STEM, crafts and character development.

★★Rel BIt’s on the smaller side compared to some of the Ys’ I’ve been to and for it to be in a big neighborhood, that’s the root of its problem. The biggest problem is everyone standing around the already limited equipment, just yapping. It seems like I can never use the basketball court because it’s always something going on in there and some times that something can be done in the adjacent yoga room. The staff is friendly so I will bump it up to two stars.
