Steps N Motion Dance Studio

My primary reason for rating the studio this way is that I’ve never seen such a political studio. If you can constantly kiss up to the owners/managers then your daughter has a better chance of going far. If not, chances are they will stifle your child’s potential, but charge you the same amount of money. Every parent that posts on social media has to put the disclaimer ‘thank you Steps so much for the opportunity’-it’s very cult like. My one daughter danced on the competition team for several years and the other danced rec. my older daughter is a preteen and she constantly was dancing to baby dances with dumbed down choreography and baby costumes. The costumes were extremely expensive and were basic catalog costumes or store bought from stores like Children’s Place. Regardless of what the costumes cost the studio would charge $250 per costume. One year our hip hop costume cost $16 and they still charged that. We left after a mass exodus of other families did. Studio is incredibly disorganized and it’s a joke among all the moms that the schedule for the weekend would be released morning of. The studio had zero concern for families lives and wanted parents who could get their daughters there at any day, any time. Needless to say I moved my daughters to a different studio, where they both are on the company team and they are thriving. My older daughter could barely do a single turn after being on the competition team at Steps for 3 years, this year she is doing sharp triple turns and fouetté turns. Coincidence?

My daughter has done Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Hip Hop at Steps in Motion. She loves it...She comes home with eagerness to show the new moves she's learned! Miss Abby has been kind and patient when teaching! You can tell the class is a success when everyone leaves in smiles!

This is my son's first year with Steps N Motion and he absolutely loves it. Ms. Abby is not only an awesome dance teacher, but also does an amazing job keeping control of all the boys. We are so glad we signed him up!! Can't wait for the recital!

STEPS is an extraordinary dance studio that we have been proud to be a part of for 10 years now. My daughter started dancing at nearly the same time she began walking and STEPS has been with her every step of the way. The teachers and administration are caring professionals who are easily approachable if you have any questions or need help understanding something. The staffs' extensive experience and education, has given my daughter a love and understanding of dance that continues to grow each year. STEPS strives to give the kids and the parents who come through their doors a place where they feel welcome, safe, and somewhere they look forward to coming each week. We feel very fortunate to be a part of the STEPS family.
