The St. Petersburg Yacht Club runs summer youth sailing camps (and kids fishing camps) on Tampa Bay, with Harbor Mice for ages 5-7, Optimist classes for ages 8-13, and 420 sailing for ages 14-16. Campers learn sailing fundamentals and racing basics by age and ability at the private club.

From the moment I arrived, it was clear why this club has such an outstanding reputation. The facility is beautiful, impeccably maintained, and offers some of the best waterfront views in downtown St. Petersburg. Looking out over the marina toward the St. Pete Pier is a view that never gets old. The staff was professional, attentive, and welcoming throughout the event. Every interaction reflected the high standards that make this club such a respected institution in our community. I was also pleasantly surprised by the quality of the lunch buffet. The food was excellent, thoughtfully prepared, and far better than what many venues typically serve for meetings and events. What impressed me most was how the club successfully combines elegance with comfort. It feels refined without being stuffy, and the setting creates an ideal environment for both business meetings and social gatherings. While it is a private members club, I was grateful for the opportunity to attend an event here and experience everything the St. Petersburg Yacht Club has to offer. Five stars. Beautiful views, outstanding service, excellent food, and a facility that represents the very best of waterfront St. Petersburg.
