Sports United is a Brooklyn nonprofit that runs a summer basketball and multi-sport day camp for children ages 5-13, hosted at P.S. 889. Campers get specialized training plus games in soccer, lacrosse, flag football, basketball, handball, track and field, kickball, and softball, with fun trips, healthy snacks, and jerseys. Families can sign up by the day, and a sliding-scale program keeps it accessible across income levels.

They are also learning the skills needed to make them great players one day and you can see their progressions. The coaches are awesome, caring and push the kids to be great. And to be able to play their final games at Barclays center, is a plus. I wish I knew about this program when my kids were much younger. If you are looking for a program like this one, look no further, you will not regret it.
