I have been a member for 16 years and have seen a lot of improvements in the facility over that time. The equipment is great, and I appreciate the effort that has gone into upgrading and maintaining the gym. There are a few areas that could be improved, especially communication and organization. I signed up for an event but never received any follow-up information, so I ended up canceling my participation. Since earning my PhD, my schedule has become much busier and less predictable. I would love to see longer weekend and evening hours, perhaps staying open until 10:00 PM. It is often difficult for me to find time to get to the gym during the current hours. Overall, I have had a positive experience and would also love to see a SkiErg machine added in the future. Thank you for continuing to improve the facility.

Gym is okay. Pool is not for you. You cannot dive. And for some reason, they keep your bank card information on their computer and bill you without you presenting your bank card or entering your pin. There is no card payment terminal in the facility. This is the only YMCA I have seen do this. So, anyone who works there can, at any time, and in any amount bill your bank card. Mostly it's old people and a day care center. Oddly the children change with adults. Again, the only YMCA to do that, too. I was surprised to see naked kids in the changing room. I go there off an on for convenience. But these two things stand out as unusual. You cannot talk to anyone that work there about these issues, they are very emotional.

We’ve been members for over a year now and love it. We’ve considered canceling due to cost a few times but the amazing childcare program keeps us coming back. Everybody there is amazing but Delia takes special care with my 2 young boys. I feel confident that they are safe and having fun every time they go and that is worth the money for me!

The location of this facility is remarkably convenient, nestled near the Wigwam golf course within a safe and bustling neighborhood. It offers easy access to stores and libraries, making it even more attractive. A notable aspect is the engagement of many members who bring their children to partake in the early child learning program and the drop-in Child Watch service while they engage in their fitness routines. Here are several noteworthy aspects of this location: Dedicated and Supportive Staff: The commitment and helpfulness of the entire staff, from Fred and Nick to the entire team, have been consistently outstanding. Whether at the front desk or in the kids' room, the staff members exude warmth and a sincere welcome for both members and families. Fantastic Group Fitness Classes: The variety of group fitness classes available here is impressive. The classes are designed to accommodate diverse age groups, from 5-year-old kids to those who are 99 years old(or older). Instructors Mary and Robin infuse energy and motivation, ensuring each session is enjoyable and effective. Youth Development Activities: Beyond fitness, a wide array of youth development activities, including dance crews and summer camps, enrich the offerings. The year-round availability of swimming classes and the open pool further enhance the options. Early Child Learning Program: The management of the early child learning program is nothing short of exceptional. The program's organization and structure are commendable, reflecting the effort invested in creating a nurturing environment. Thoughtful Amenities: The provision of shades in both the parking lot and pool areas is a thoughtful touch. This feature offers crucial sun protection, especially during the scorching Arizona summers. However, it's worth acknowledging that this location can become quite bustling, particularly during the peak times of summer camps. This might lead to occasional noise and finding oneself amidst groups of energetic children. Additionally, the showering facility appears slightly outdated and could benefit from an upgrade.

I've seen good YMCAs, and this one isn't good. This random YMCA I've been going to because I live near it is very small. All they offer is there swimming pool. A while ago they had a lounge for gaming and tv for kids, now they don't and that's a reason why they're doing so poorly. Let the kids have fun while their parents are exercising. That was one of the reasons they came anyways. The main workout area is duller than my local gym. The swimming pool is mediocre. If the main selling point that intrigues everyone is the pool, at least make the attraction pool better with funner rides than just a slide that makes you go in a 360 degree angle 2 times and go back on again until you realize it's your hundredth time on the slide.
