Rio Vista Recreation Center in Peoria hosts a City of Peoria summer day camp for ages 5–14, offered as an extension of the center's AM/PM program. It provides enrichment and on-site activities in a supervised setting, Monday–Friday from 6am to 6pm.

Throughout the week, the fields are busy with school aged sports, including soccer, football and softball. There is a skate park that is almost always busy, and a new cafe which we haven’t had a chance to try yet. We used to be members of the rec center which has great racquetball courts and a nice gym. We love walking around the lake. Lots of ducks and geese and occasionally a crane. Overall this is a wonderful community park.

Very clean and well maintained public park. Bring a blanket or a fold up chair because there’s a lot of duck poop in certain areas but it’s nature at its finest. 😉🦆🦆🦆 Besides, it all comes out in the wash🐥

Also there are tons of Pokemon here to catch, green grass and lots of trees. Best part is that the New River Trail runs directly next to the park, perfect for a mid-stop break.
