South Sound Dance is a Tumwater dance studio whose summer program is a series of week-long themed dance camps for younger children. Camps for ages 3-6 run themes such as K-Pop Party (hip hop and acro), Bluey's Dance Mode (ballet and jazz), How To Be a Princess, Tropical Island Adventure (jazz and musical theater) and Royals & Rebels; camps for ages 7-11 include Game On! (acro and jazz) and Passport to Paris (ballet, musical theater and art). Weeks run Monday to Friday from early July through mid-August, and dance, art, music and games feature in every camp, with a performance for families at the end of the week. The studio also runs year-round classes for ages 2 to adult, a fine-arts preschool and an accessible dance program.

My daughter is absolutely obsessed with miss pamela (& her kiddo assistant.. don’t wanna put her name out but she’s so sweet) my little would come every day if she could. The progression I have seen in my shy little one is amazing. Would recommend SSD to anyone. I have also had great experiences with the office ladies (Rachel & Kate) and have met the owner who is also very sweet and around if you have questions. My 4 year old loves to come play and miss brenna is very sweet to her. Not sure dance is her thing but she’s figuring it out slowly. Either way everyone has been great and I’m glad I found this place 🩷
