South Park Theatre runs Showstoppers summer acting camps for children ages 6-13 at its indoor and outdoor stages in Allegheny County's South Park. Campers work on acting technique, theatre games, monologue and audition preparation, with a five-day mini camp aimed at individual performance and an eight-day full camp that ends in a group performance of scenes. Sessions meet weekday afternoons and mix indoor and outdoor activity; no prior acting experience is required. The theatre also stages five low-cost children's theatre productions on its outdoor stage from June through August.

Powered by GoogleA lovely community theatre venue with friendly staff & great shows. Not a bad seat in the house, either.
I love taking my grand daughter to the Children’s Theater in the summer. The performers do a great job utilizing the space they have to put on fun shows with a new twist.
This is an amazing theater to be a part of. I have been in 3 productions, taken classes, and have seen all the awesome shows this summer. Everyone is so welcoming. Great place to take little kids, so they can see their fairytale idols up on stage.
Saw a fall show and was impressed by the entire event. The kids in the show were great. The smores and apple cider were a perfect fit for the weather. The open air theater had a great sound set up. It all made for a great fall day outside.
This is a wonderful theatre for all ages. There's a great indoor space and an outdoor space! The kids had a blast being involved with the summer theatre program that this theatre offers. I've enjoyed being involved in the adult productions that this theatre offers. SPT has a great and talented staff!
