My Kindergartener has been taking small group piano lessons with Ms. Brooke for about six months now, and it has been the most delightful experience. Ms. Brooke is deeply passionate about teaching music to young children, and she infuses so much fun and creativity into every lesson. As someone who has carried a lifelong love of music and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music myself, I am beyond impressed with her approach—patient, kind, and joyful. I loved learning to play music as a young child, but the education I am witnessing my daughter receive goes well above and beyond what and how I learned. She started off as a true beginner and has learned to read sheet music remarkably quickly. She’s also exploring her own creativity—learning to play scales, harmonies, and songs through playful methods like “building a cupcake,” reading from lesson books, and even connecting emotions to major and minor chords. This past summer was her first recital, and it perfectly reflected the warmth and thoughtfulness Ms. Brooke brings to her teaching. Rather than a formal auditorium, the recital was held at a student’s grandparents’ property, where families gathered on picnic blankets and camping chairs, snacks in hand, and all family members welcome. Students were encouraged to dress nicely while expressing their own style, and they wrote kind notes of praise for their fellow performers to share in the next class. It was such a nourishing, confidence-building experience—one that celebrated each child as a whole person, not just a performer. We feel so lucky to have found Soltis Music, and we can’t recommend Ms. Brooke enough for anyone looking to spark a lifelong love of music in their child.

We love this studio! Brooke is very fun, engaging and warm with our 7 year old starting piano lessons. Her space is set up for sibling music fun while their older siblings practice also! Books, games, coloring, etc. She has obviously spent a lot of time teaching music to young children and it shows! We are so happy she moved here.
