Anacortes Music Project is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) whose AMP Camp is a week-long day camp where kids ages 12-18 form bands, write their own original songs and perform them live on the final day; guitars, basses, keyboards, microphones and drums are provided and all experience levels are welcome. Camp runs Monday-Friday 10:00am-4:00pm at the Art Center at Buxton's on Commercial Ave at $425, with two sessions in summer 2026 (July 6-10 and August 3-7). AMP also runs a Youth Strings Camp for ages 8-13 with beginner and intermediate tracks, and operates a free instrument-lending library. Scholarships and reduced tuition are available by request.
