Powered by GoogleSnapology hosted my son's 8th birthday party and he had a great time battling robots with all his friends. The staff were friendly and helpful and overall it was a fantastic experience. Highly recommend and great option for parents in Gig Harbor.
I love Snapology! I was first introduced to it a couple years ago through a friend for her son’s birthday party and thought it was the coolest idea! When we went back again, for the next birthday party, the kids were learning how to build robots out of legos and programming them to move on an iPad. My kid is 3 and I thought “welp, no chance she can do this/this will keep her attention” (she was the youngest kid there). The instructors were so patient and kind and never doubted her because they obviously see kids do this every day. They paired her with a “big kid” and helped her feel confident in the activity which she still talks about to this day. I realized that Snapology created a moment, through play, to build her confidence in STEM and she doesn’t have thoughts of self doubt or “I’m too little”. It was a great lesson for me to learn as well. Fast forward to today, Snapology continues to have all of this great programming and instructors and it’s really cool to see it not miss a beat/thrive under new leadership in Eric and Jessica Doherty. I had the chance to volunteer at Gig Harbor Pride a couple weeks ago where Snapology partnered with French Toast Kids Theater to have a kids corner and it was such a special experience! To see so many families being joyful together and celebrating as a community, watching the kids build with giant legos and try to best the robotic spinning ring toss (an example of something they can learn to build at Snapology) was a delight. I was at the booth when local organizations like Raising Abilities came over to talk about their incredible work to support kids and families in the neighborhood and I was so excited/ proud to see Snapology, and Jessica and Eric, as business owners within a community that is truly looking to come together and create opportunities to best support our youth. I’m so looking forward to their future offerings and getting more involved myself based on their great example!
My kids have loved attending classes here, especially the themed ones like Pokémon and Minecraft! I've loved seeing all their creations during the show off portion at the end of class ❤️ We can't wait to see what changes the future will bring under new management, and look forward to robotics summer camp, too!
We've celebrated my son's birthday at Snapology of Gig Harbor for the past two years, and it's been fantastic every time! The staff is incredibly helpful and accommodating, making party planning a breeze. We especially love that the room is already set up – we just roll in with the kids, cake, and presents, and everything's ready to go. Our friends agree that Snaplogy is the perfect balance of free-building time and engaging learning activities. Plus, knowing many of the staff are certified teachers provides extra peace of mind about our kids' safety. We're already planning year three at Snapology and can't wait to check out some of their upcoming classes, too. Highly recommend!
Birthday Party review - we had my son’s birthday party last weekend at it was 10/10. The staff was kind and soooo prepared! We chose the science/slime party which started with a demonstration on polymers and then they had the kids sit down to start making their own slime. They walked the little crew through each step and helped whoever needed some extra hands. After making the slime, they quickly took a break, broke down the table, and had everyone come sit back down, explained the next activity, and began building a “slime trap” then had everyone who was comfortable present their build. Now this was a group of 4-5 yr olds and the staff was SO patient and spoke to them on their level and truly was so wonderful. Laura and Kelly were our party staffers and we loved them! We organized/planned the party with Miya and she was so easy to work with and was really accommodating with our young crew. One of the coolest things was how prepared the team was when we arrived onsite and then they took care of the whole party flow and cleanup. I had given a heads-up that I would be bringing lab coats for each child to wear, because it was cute, but also to keep their clothes clean, and ended up also bringing doctor badges; the team rolled the props right into their routine like it was all planned. I had each parent of the child come up to me and say how much fun they had, let alone their kid. I can’t wait to have my son do more events onsite and I heard something about a Parent’s Night Out night so I’m looking into that right away. Thank you to the whole Snapology team for being SO wonderful and making my son’s birthday SPECIAL and a breeze for planning.
