The facility is not well run at all. The owner has an over-the-top personality that comes off as rude and doesn’t mix well with his apparent power trip. He constantly talks about where he’s from, says he’s not like us “Californians,” and claims he “keeps it real.” I don’t know about you, Bernell, but the only thing that’s real is that your gym isn’t very good. The walls are far too close to the hoop, creating an injury-prone zone directly underneath the rim. On top of that, the rims look like they’re about to fall off and hit someone in the head—if you ask me, that’s a lawsuit waiting to happen. Oh, I almost forgot: the floors look like they have a permanent layer of moisture on the hardwood, making every step, cut, or explosive movement nearly impossible. If you combined your overconfident, arrogant personality with some pride in your gym, maybe it wouldn’t have a three-star review on Google after mine. I recently had the opportunity to take my grandson and a few of his friends to the newly owned Slam dunk Academy. I couldn’t be more pleased. The booking process was simple. Burnell the owner was incredibly helpful throughout. The facility itself is nice and clean, well-maintained, and completely private. There is a small area with a couch and chairs, very relaxing. Well, a few of us watched the boys played basketball. They’re even is a shooting machine. You could also rent. I felt the price was appropriate and the boys can’t wait to go back again. Christie
