Carol Stream Park District recreation center at 849 W Lies Rd, home to the district's dance, gymnastics and theater programs and to its summer day camps, with a gymnasium used for archery, basketball and volleyball. Summer offerings registered through the district include the all-day Awesome Adventure camp, a preschool camp and high-school sports camps. Registration opens to residents in early May and to nonresidents about a week later, online or in person at Simkus or Fountain View.

★★★★M PosleyMy most recent visits to the Rec center is usually in the evening. It clean throughout the center. Beautiful decorations and preschool artwork. When an activity or program is in session, the parents are not allowed in the room. This allow the students to pay attention. However, could a new arrangement be implemented for the parents that are waiting outside? There are a few chairs. But that's not enough. Then the hallways get congested. Other than that, the bathrooms are clean. Tasty snacks in the vending machine. Water cooler available with filter water. There's a parking lot but when Water park is in session especially on hot days this parking lot is packed! Depends on what days I've came and activities in sessions, it between 3-4 star
★★★★CC tina pattersonRacist older woman with glasses at the front desk. She has a smart mouth. The programs and coaches are great but the service makes me not want to have my children attend. I am never a rude person. I treat others the way I want to be treated. The new center had the same problem but it is better now. I have lived out here for at least 12years and never saw this type of hate until I ended up here. Hope the center does something about it soon. Update: The location has changed the receptionist! She is much better than the last one. I'm assuming the last person is only used for emergencies because I barely see her anymore.

When they found out no one could show for my boy's birthday party they've gone above and beyond to accommodate us and still try to make his day the best it can be. It is so refreshing to know there are still good people out there.

★★★★Cathy GillieMy daughter has volleyball practice here once a week. Nice gym that has two courts that fit comfortably. Very small waiting area in the front entry, with a TV. Staff seems friendly enough, but I've had minimal interaction with them.
