Short Acres Farm is a 14-acre horse farm in Brush Prairie that runs four-day summer horse camps for kids. Campers start each morning caring for and bonding with farm animals - baby goats, rabbits, miniature horses, calves and donkeys - then spend the day on horse education: groundwork, grooming, tacking up and riding English, Western and bareback. Arts and crafts fill out the week, from decorating real horseshoes into picture frames to decorating the miniature horses. Summer sessions run July and August at $495 per four-day camp, with enrollment by printed registration form and payment by check or Venmo.
