Sherwood Dance Academy in Sherwood, Oregon teaches weekly acro, ballet, jazz, lyrical and tap classes for dancers from age 2 into the teen years. Classes are grouped into Jump Start for ages 2 to 5, Building Blocks for ages 5 and up, Classical advanced ballet and pointe for ages 9 and up, and the Showstoppers performing company for ages 7 and up. The dance season runs September through June, with monthly tuition that includes a recital costume, recital ticket, recital video and photo session for performing classes, and a summer term offers classes that meet once a week. The studio has also held themed dance camps, and its Rose Scholarship Fund offers financial assistance to families when cost would otherwise keep a child from dancing.
