My son Bobby did two classes ('second line' then 'advanced') with them over summer and loved them. The second line camp was a ton of fun, culminating in the Seafair parade. The advanced course was (unsurprisingly) a lot more challenging, but it was a great level for him and he learned a lot about improv and writing pieces while still having fun. Highly recommend.

My daughter Ella, just finished the JazzEd Summer program and absolutely loved it. She made new friends, learned to play the clarinet and really liked the teachers. This is a great way to introduce your kids to a new instrument in a relaxed environment. We were so happy with the experience we signed up for the school year program they offer! I will definitely have my two other daughters participate in JazzEd and highly recommend it to everyone!

We are SO glad we found JazzED! I cannot say enough about this amazing organization and what it has done for our children. The staff and teachers are absolutely committed to their mission. Everyone who works there seems to be doing this for the best of motives -- to spread music and joy, and to preserve jazz for the future. They are also committed to equity -- to making jazz education accessible for anyone regardless of income, gender, race, social class, musical ability, etc. And these teachers make magic happen! Their concerts are phenomenal! It is a true joy to hear these kids play. As an added bonus, the JazzED folks really seem to understand the importance of being positive role models for children, and of guiding them as they grow into mature, responsible members of the community. Jazz + healthy kids -- what could be better?

JazzED is a great community with exceptional instruction. Students are able to expand their musical experience and work with very talented and respected professionals. The staff is incredibly dedicated, fun and engaging - they go above and beyond! I highly recommended the program for students at all levels.

Our family has been involve with Seattle JazzED for 8 years. This past year two of our sons were participants and like usual they had great experiences. The teachers and staff are committed to the growth and development of our children as people as well as musicians. Their musicianship grows each year and we plan to continue our support and participation in the program.
