My 9 yo son attempted drum lessons elsewhere and it was a bit of a mess-he had no interest in lessons or practice but really wanted to play the drums! After a break and a really great experience at SOR with the paid trial, we saw SUCH A HUGE DIFFERENCE in his engagement and willingness/excitement to practice and jump right into learning new songs. The feedback and homework are clear and easy to understand (even to the parent who is not musically-inclined), and the instructors are great at keeping him challenged and excited to learn more.

The instructors’ approach is totally unique in that they not only teach how to play an instrument, but they teach musicality, stage presence, how to be a band mate and much more. The experience is completely immersive and the kids even get to perform on big stages in front of big crowns. Colin’s confidence has soared since becoming a student and as a result, he is also excelling in his high school marching band as a group leader (he never would have tried out for that role had his confidence in himself not grown exponentially). To say I recommend School of Rock Gahanna would be a massive understatement. Take your kids there and watch them blossom.
