I never thought 3 years could fly by so quickly! it seems as if I just joined and now I'm off with pockets full of memories, supportive friends, and an even greater love and appreciation for music! I was blessed to have the highly professional yet humorous Tatiana Kats as choir director. Additionally, Irina Utkina(also director) made singing most enjoyable and encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone. I could keep going on and on about how everyone needs some choir to cheer up in life(and have an excuse to travel to New Zealand for World Choir games)! Never mind, just sign up, what's holding you back?

I was a member of the choir for 13 years and my experience has been very positive. The community is great and the conductors are extremely skilled and passionate. My trips to New York, Portugal, and New York were unforgettable, from the performances to travel to meeting other choirs. There is a big variety of music and ensembles. My oldest son have been a member of CICC for ten years and the youngest 9 years. They grow from little guys who couldn't remember their sons to outstanding young musicians performing on stage in Carnegie Hall. They learned and practiced music, discipline, and teamwork. The choir founder and director is one of an extraordinarily talented musician and educator. She led the choir to the world stage winning gold medals in World Choir Games multiple times. Our choir performed in South Africa, Ireland, China, Lithuania, the White House, and the Vatican!! Along the way, great memories are made and dreams achieved.

My kids have been members of this choir for over 10 years. They love the music, the challenge, the other kids and their choir directors - and they sound beautiful! These are kids that had no special training before they joined the choir. Tatiana Kats and the other choir directors teach them with respect and challenge them to grow. My children have experienced choir competitions, have travelled in Ohio, the US and to other countries, and one of them got to meet and perform for the president and first lady of the United States. I highly recommend listening to some of the recordings on the website. I don't ever have to argue with them to go. :)
