San Jose Swim & Racquet Club runs a junior summer tennis camp for beginning and intermediate players, combining on-court instruction and match play with games, crafts, dress-up theme days and daily pool time. The most recently posted schedule ran four one-week sessions, Monday-Friday 9:00am to 2:00pm, at the club's 3.5-acre facility between the Rose Garden and Willow Glen. Camp is open to ages 6 and up, capped at 12 juniors per ball-color group with roughly one coach per four to six players; club members have enrollment priority over non-members. Campers bring their own racquet, lunch and water, and no early drop-off or late pickup is offered.

This club/gym is one of the best reasons to live in Willow Glen. It has a large, heated, sparkling-clean pool that lets you swim outside in the fresh air. Several USTA quality tennis courts and pickle ball courts fill the well-maintained grounds. There’s a playground for kiddies and lots of aerobic machines and weights for the adults. They also offer several different types of classes in a large studio space where you aren’t bumping into your neighbor. The friendly staff also make this facility a pleasure to visit.

Coach is the real deal! During my first lesson he was already pointing out the 100s of little ways my game could improve. Now, after several more lessons, my game is the best it has ever been and it just keeps getting better. On top of that, he's an awesome guy and he does a great job of making every lesson fun but also action packed and laser focused on improving my game.

I love this place. Relaxed atmosphere, great pool, enough equipment. I've been a member of lots of clubs over the years; and of course they all have their good points. This club is by far the most enjoyable. Not a massive club like a club sport, but way more enjoyable. The pool is fantastic.

For the price you should probably join a real health club. You are paying almost $2k for just one year of use of the pool (Price is even higher for tennis). And for that cost, the premises is very sub par. The pool is cloudy and the shower areas are less than clean. Swim lessons for the kids are an added cost and not at all cheap. The only upside was that there was not many people there for lap swim. Which is probably because they have chosen to go to a better facility. I wouldn't recommend joining this club to anyone.

Old school charm, great community 'The club' really is an important part of the Willow Glen community. With no public pool around, the all year round heated outdoor pool is where to go. Classes and a decent gym are also included in the monthly fee. You can pay a bit extra and get the tennis courts too. Don't let the fact that it's a members' club out you off. It's not snobbish. You can bring your own food and wine, BBQ etc or order in. Facilities are decent but not luxury.
