Saint Edward Retreat Center
Saint Edward Retreat Center
Saint Edward Retreat Center hosts Camp Lolek, a week-long Catholic overnight summer camp for campers ages 7-16, at 5701 Acorn Drive in Wrightwood, serving the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and the Dioceses of San Bernardino and Orange. The camp describes itself as "a Catholic summer camp where youth grow in faith, build lasting friendships, and experience adventure in a joyful, nature-filled setting", with prayer and fellowship led by volunteers and missionaries. Four sessions ran in summer 2026: two open to any camper in the age range, one reserved for Catholic school students and one for Holy Innocents School. Camp tuition includes all activities, food and lodging, and registration is handled through CampDoc; the centre also rents its facilities to groups for retreats year-round.

Powered by GoogleI have gone to different retreat centers and this is a great one. I enjoyed my time there. The staff was welcoming and food was good. Plus future plans for new facilities! Can’t wait.
I took my school here for a week retreat and it was AMAZING. RUSTIC lodges and cabins, GREAT food, AMAZING staff, BEAUTIFUL mountain views, and FUN activities. Such a great place to get away from the city and to focus on PRAYER and the HOLY SACRIFICE OF THE MASS. WILL return every year.
The place was absolutely beautiful and fun as I came here with my church a little over a year ago. The staff was nice and friendly, the activities were exciting and engaging, and the cabins were comfortable to sleep in. However, when my meal was being served to me I politely and quickly notified a staff member about a piece hair in my food. She looked at me confused as to why I would care as if the hair was not a problem and took it off of the food and moved onto the next person. Not even an apology or replacement of food was offered. Safe to say I did not eat that food item. After the incident our leader came to all of us disappointed as the staff informed him one person did not say thank you to the servers. I had a feeling this complaint was most likely about me as I did not say thank you to the servers after that. Normally, I make sure to say thank you to people when being served or helped. So yes Saint Edward, thank you for the hair in my food!
The staff at St. Edward’s is the best and most helpful I have seen in my entire career in education. They were attentive to our group’s needs during our stay, made sure the firewood was freshly stocked, and always had a smile! When we had a bus mishap at the end of our stay the staff at St. Edward’s shuttled our entire group down the mountain 3 at a time in their 4x4 vehicles. They could have sat back and waited for our bus company to figure it out but instead they sprang into action and helped our group get home. Would recommend them to anyone, anytime, anywhere. (The food is outstanding!)
Great location to be one with nature and with our faith. Staff was very welcoming and the food was plenty and delicious. Can't wait for our next retreat. Thank you Cord, Gavin, and Genevieve for your hospitality.
