Private

Rosebud Children's & Community Theatre Conservatory runs a Summer Youth Musical Theatre Festival in Federal Way in which young actors rehearse and stage public musical performances. Programs are banded by age and run for very different lengths: ages 4-7 attend two-week mini-camps ending in a free performance, ages 8-12 attend a four-week camp with three public performances, and ages 13-20 attend a six-week camp with six public performances. Camps are held at the Federal Way High School Theatre. Founded in 2010, Rosebud is a nonprofit and describes itself as Federal Way's only children's theatre; it also offers studio classes year-round.

I was an actress with Rosebud when I was a 11 to 14 and have been stage managing their teen summer productions for almost nine years. Now at 26 years of age, I can confidently say that I have watched many teenagers become beautiful, helpful, and kind young adults thanks to this program. Rosebud does what it can with the limited budget it has in order to create a fun, yet professional, theatre experience. Holly Rose is a gifted teacher and director who has earned the respect of many actors and co-workers over the years. The Rosebud Children’s Theatre Conservatory doesn’t just show young adults how to succeed in theater spaces, but it creates a safe environment where they can be wacky, unique, and unapologetically themselves. If your child is looking for a positive theatre experience that will challenge them, show them the pay-off of hard work, all while allowing their true colors to shine brightly with new friends and old, Rosebud is the place you should take them.

Great summer drama program for youth (ages 4-7, 8-12, 13-20) at a great price! My children have been participating in their summer camp for over eight years and they have always had a great time, formed close friendships and put on a great show for the public at the end of the camp. The program has helped my children develop strong social and public speaking skills as well as a love for the arts! I highly recommend Rosebud Children’s Theatre Conservatory.
