Rose E. Schneider Family YMCA
Private
The Rose E. Schneider Family YMCA in Cranberry Township, part of the Butler County Family YMCA, runs Camp Rose, a roughly 10-week summer day camp (about June through mid-August) for children. Themed weeks emphasize social-emotional skills through daily swimming, field trips, and team-building games; families pack lunches and drop off/pick up at the pavilion.

We list only what the camp itself publishes, and programs change — dates, prices, ages and availability can all move after we check. Confirm the details on the camp’s own website and contact Rose E. Schneider Family YMCA directly before you register or pay. Last checked August 2026.

Please pay attention to the men's locker. There is a terrible smell, like you are in the world's sewer. I have never smelled anything like that!!! This was my second visit. Both times I encountered the same situation. I am thinking to move somewhere else.
My granddaughter was assaulted in the locker room by a group of 4 teens that were carrying on in a destructive, angry manner while unsupervised. Using foul language and acting aggressively. When I had confronted the teens, they started dropping the "f" word and became verbally abusive towards me as well. I went to the front desk and notified them of the behavior and was told that they had never had an issue with the teens previously. They had told me that the girl normally didn't behave that way, that she had just gotten her monthly menstrual cycle. That is no excuse in my book. After the teens (12-14 years old) were acting in an abusive manner by addressing my 9 year old granddaughter, they then started on me. A 60 year old grandmother with 3 grandchildren. My granddaughter did start to yell back at these teens in a defensive manner not allowing herself to be bullied. I felt that the staff handled it completely unprofessional. I had also felt that the staff somewhat victim blamed us. They had seemed to be more concerned about my granddaughter yelling back at them versus them yelling at her. I canceled my membership and never went back. I felt that some sort of suspension or disciplinary measure should have been taken place!
It's really a great place to work out. The silver sneakers classes are wonderful. The one thing that needs updated are the hand weights. They are in pretty bad shape. Especially the three and four pound weights!
Large, well-equipped facility with indoor pool and walking/jogging/running track, plus two basketball courts that can accommodate pickle ballers. I also like outdoor hiking trails. Friendly staff is icing on this health-conscious cake.
