The Rolling Hills Seagulls are a neighborhood summer-league swim team based at 1601 Rolling Hills Ave SE in Renton, competing in Division 3 of the Midlakes Swim League, which they have raced in for more than 40 years. Swimmers range from age 4 through the summer after high school graduation, racing in 8-and-under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14 and 15-and-over brackets, with a target of about 12 swimmers per age group. Practices start daily in the afternoon in early May and shift to mornings once school lets out. Joining requires a tryout with the coach to confirm basic swimming skills and comfort in the deep end.
