Rockory Music School runs performance-based rock band camps out of its Totem Lake studio in Kirkland: each camper picks a song, the instructor writes a custom arrangement for the group's instrumentation and ability, and the band rehearses Monday and Tuesday before travelling to parks and businesses around Kirkland and Kenmore to play three public concerts Wednesday through Friday. Camps run Monday-Friday 12:00pm-6:00pm for one week at $555 for the 30-hour week, including custom sheet music, transportation and concerts; before and after care is available for early drop-off or late pickup. Open to ages 8-15 on any instrument with a prerequisite of one year of playing experience; campers bring their own lunch.

It is always a warm experience going there and the teachers there are all accomplished musicians who all play multiple instruments. And before I go I want to talk about the Rock Band camps that happen in the summers. The kids work for 5 days on 4-5 songs and perform them last three days! They always do great and also Daniel works so hard making it happen carting a trailer of equipment, many cords, amps, a generator.... And a swimming break every day as well.
