RoboThink's McLean and Fairfax Discovery Center, at 1340 Old Chain Bridge Road, runs STEAM robotics and coding summer camps Monday through Friday in three-hour daily sessions across the summer. Campers work in pairs or small groups to assemble and program mini-robots from beginner-friendly kits, learning basic programming concepts and taking on problem-solving challenges and team games. Separate camp titles cover robotics engineering, computer coding, and rocket science.

Powered by GoogleMy 3rd-grade son has been taking the coding&Robotics class here recently, and we are consistently impressed with the quality of the lessons. The way they integrate AI into block coding makes complex concepts very accessible, helping him truly understand how to utilize AI in practical ways. It’s been a wonderful learning journey so far, and he looks forward to every session. I highly recommend this program to any parent!
My Son has adored his classes here during summer camp. He comes back positively glowing and can't stop talking about what he's built and the new ideas it's given him for future robot builds. They've also done a wonderful job of expanding his interests as he is now asking about "coding" and Morse code. The classes are intentionally small to preserve a good teacher student ratio and it's clear they care a great deal about the kids and their development. Very positive experience thus far.
My son said this was the best camp in his life! He came out of the camp's first day with so much joy and confidence! The teachers encourage kids and have lots of experience in robotics. The demo class was definitely worth the fee. Their website clearly says that the demo class is for a fee, which is totally reasonable. I will certainly consider this place for after school classes.
It's a great place to learn robotics and coding.
They insisted I pay for a trial class in advance of disclosing any program cost information, and invoiced me ahead of the class.
