Robolabs Fremont, at 37120 Fremont Blvd, runs week-long robotics camps for grades 1-12 across nine summer weeks from early June to early August, with each week independent. Full-day camp is 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at $695 a week and half-day options run 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at $395; extended care to 6 p.m. costs $20 an hour. Campers work on an individual robotics project matched to their level on VEX IQ, FIRST LEGO League or VEX V5 platforms, covering mechanical design, programming, gear ratios and simple machines, and finish the week with a working robot. Instructors keep a maximum of eight students each, no prior experience is required, and a separate Battle Robots combat-robotics program runs for grades K-7.
