I went to a pool birthday party at Riverwinds. I had to help one of my children who was stuck in the whirlpool and yelling “I can’t get out.” She had asked the lifeguard for help but the lifeguard refused. I sat my other child on the steps and told her not to move. As I was getting my child out of the whirlpool, I hear a parent yelling “oh my god, grab her.” I turn around to my child underwater. I got to her, got her out of the pool, turned around and looked at the lifeguard. The lifeguard laughed in my face and said “sorry that’s not my job. I’m not a babysitter.” I informed the supervisor who said that the lifeguard was crying and that everyone was really sorry she spoke to me that way. While I think what she said was insane, my issue is not what she said. My issue is that she was going to let my child drown. I realize I made a mistake in turning my back on my child, but I don’t think a child should be left to drown because their parent screwed up. That lifeguard is still employed, which is pretty wild to me.

This place employees are very helpful. They don't have a house keeper. I don't blame if house keepers don't stay because Chlorine is extremely high level inside pool area, I don't understand why people even get inside.

Lol I was thinking about going until kids ages 2.99 were free. Is that like almost 3 or is that 2 kids at 99 cents so im comfused . I gave them 5 stars cause its not fair to rate them since im not a member but i wanted to point out the fact kids are 2.99. So I'm thinking maybe to check for other activities in the area. Lol

This place has a lot of different activities you can do. They have a rock wall and pool ( subjective to hours) as well as a gym that has like every machine and a ton of free weights, a nice hallway with more machines and stuff to exercise with, as well as an aerobic room (classes and free form stuff), and a spinning room ( cycling ). I’ve pretty much done everything except classes and spinning. It’s been really fun and I’m probably in the best shape of my life from going here regularly, being able to do such a variety of exercises. The staff are also friendly and the building is very clean. One thing that is cool is that you’ll read about other gyms where people have no etiquette or don’t wipe down there machines, but even the members are very aware and conscious of such things.

Pretty good experience. I was there with a friend on Saturday and I thought the gym was going to be crowded like all gyms on saturdays but definitely wasn’t. I would love to train here any time I have the chance to do it. Completely recommend it. They have everything you need to train every part of your body and lot of space also.
