★tianxin mitbbsDisappointed with Player Development and Coaching Approach Our family and friends had several years of experience with Delaware United Volleyball Club, and unfortunately, the overall development experience was very disappointing. One friend spent three years at the club without seeing meaningful improvement, another was dropped after two years, and a third after three years of dedication. The U13/14 coach, in particular, was not friendly and often yelled at players, which created an uncomfortable learning environment instead of one that motivates young athletes. While the club emphasizes travel and tournaments — in fact, they seem to have more travel commitments than most other clubs in the region — the actual skill development and player growth did not match the level of time and financial investment required. If your goal is to pursue volleyball seriously or prepare your child for a high school or college career, this may not be the best fit. We recommend exploring other clubs in the area that focus more on player development, positive coaching, and long-term growth.
