Rising Stars Youth Theatre Company is an award-winning nonprofit youth theatre in Sparta serving children and teens ages 7-18 of all levels across Sussex County and northern New Jersey. Its summer intensives train young actors in voice, dance and drama for musical theatre - vocal projection, stage presence and character development - with performances at the end of weeks 3 and 6. The company runs four divisions: Kids Co. (grades 2-8) and Teens Co. (grades 9-12) musicals, Mixed Co. (grades 2-12) musicals, and Drama Co. (grades 2-12) for non-musical plays.

Not only has it been incredibly fun and enlightening for her, but she has also grown tremendously from the experience in her confidence and collaborative skill with peers and mentors. I work very closely with collegiate students trying to enter the workforce. The most universal short coming for these students is there personal confidence to speak publicly and interact with new people and large audiences. Keep in mind that as important as virtual interaction is, there is a void in building interpesonal skills. Not only are the experiences at Rising Star Youth Theater enjoyable and create wonderful memories, the participants are gaining necessary skills that they don't even realize are so vital for their future.
