We had taken our daughter here for about 2 years, and I will say that for the first year or so, she really did enjoy her time, moving up from a Level 1 up to a Level 3. She was ecstatic when they let us know she was on a fast-track to Level 3. For a time, she really loved her coaches, and the class. Things really started changing late last year, though. We kept getting her class times switched around, which made it rather difficult for us to fit into a proper schedule. I understand there's "make up classes" but if you can only do this during the rest of the week, this can make it super challenging to fit in, when there are many other evening commitments we have. This past January, our daughter had sprained her hand and was required to not do any gymnastics for 4 weeks, and when I called to explain this and to see if there was some kind of temporary pause (we had a doctor's note), we were told that no, we couldn't pause payments for a month, and the only way to not get charged "was to cancel our membership, pay the fee, and then rejoin when she was better". Why? Why are there no exceptions to this when injuries happen? Our daughter then got reassigned to another class, and was stuck down in Level 1 because the other girls were all Level 1, and earlier this month, we did end up leaving RAD. It's a shame, as it was a good start, but we're not too happy with how her injury was handled, and "you might get a refund but it's up to management's discretion" is a little bit silly and a gamble when we just got charged our final month and our daughter expressed zero interest in continuing. Showing a little grace to families, especially with these difficult times, can go a long way.

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the trial class experience my daughter recently had at RAD Gymnastics. My daughter has already been learning gymnastics for the past 4 years. While scheduling the trial, I specifically requested that she be evaluated in an intermediate-level class so her skills could be properly assessed and we could understand where she fits best. Instead, she was placed into a Level 1 class. After the session ended, there was no proper assessment, no constructive feedback, and no meaningful discussion about her abilities. Considering that trial classes are paid and not free, I expected a more professional evaluation process. When I requested that she be assessed in a class closer to her level, the “Head Coach,” as I understood, came out and spoke in a very rude and dismissive manner. Some of the comments made were quite disappointing: 1. “We do not have time to look into the kids; our classes are full.” If that is truly the case, then why agree to conduct paid trial classes in the first place? 2. “If I put her into the class, she won’t be able to do it. Parents know nothing and they come here.” Making assumptions about a child’s abilities without even watching her perform is unfair and disrespectful. 3. I was then asked if I even knew how gymnasts are evaluated and was told to “go read the book.” Frankly, if parents were expected to professionally evaluate gymnastics levels themselves, there would be no need for coaches or assessments. The issue is not whether my daughter was accepted into a higher-level class or not. The issue is the lack of professionalism, courtesy, and respect shown throughout the interaction. There was absolutely no reason to insult either the parent or the child without even attempting a genuine assessment. Parents bring their children to institutes like yours trusting your expertise and professionalism. We pay for coaching and guidance, and in return, basic courtesy and respectful communication should be expected. Based on my experience, the atmosphere was extremely impolite, and I sincerely hope improvements are made in how trial students and parents are treated in the future.

My kids have been going here for a year and I have nothing to say but good things . The kids are taken care and supervised well. I have never had a bad experience in any area . Coach Andy is so kind and patient and pushes kids to their full potential while building great self esteem and skills in the kids . Kayla B is fantastic and always busy and never seems phased by the stress . If there is something she can’t get to right away she explains that she is super busy but give her time and she will handle things herself and always does . As a teacher and mom of 4 I highly recommend Rad to any parent looking to place their kids here .

Both of my kids started attending RAD a few years ago. one started off in tiny tots and the other in the parent tot class. I noticed improvement for both of them within a few weeks. My daughter was in the tiny tot class for a few months and then she was invited to join the pre team. This was to help prepare her for the competitive team. My daughter excelled in this program very quickly and was then moved up to the competitive team. She has now completed her 1st year on the team and I do not regret not one second. She absolutely loves gymnastics, her coaches, her team and everything RAD has to offer. My 2nd child also has made a lot of improvement as well and looks forward to his classes every week. Both of my children have such a soft spot for Coach Kayla. She is amazing with all of the kids and has a heart of gold. All of the coaches are knowledgeable and care for the growth of all the gymnasts. The owners are the team coaches and they truly have made a huge impact in the success and growth for my daughter. We cannot wait to see how far both of the kids go with their gymnastics journey.
