Therapeutic day camp for children and adolescents with mild to moderate social and emotional difficulties, combining ordinary camp recreation with group therapy led by professional therapists and psychologists. The summer programme runs 9:00am to 3:00pm, five days a week for six weeks, with campers in groups of 12 to 18 guided by two or three counsellors; families must commit to a minimum of three consecutive weeks, and the camp states one therapist for every 24 campers and no more than six campers per counsellor. Afternoons include swimming and 'Quests' — extended blocks for sports, music, science, robotics, animation, drama, art or journalism — with a field trip or an all-camp 'Fabulous Friday' on alternating Fridays. The Alamo programme meets at Rancho Romero Elementary School in the San Ramon Valley school district, staff hold parent group meetings every other week, and partial scholarships are available through the Autistic Spectrum Disorder Foundation.
The practical details
We list only what the camp itself publishes, and programs change — dates, prices, ages and availability can all move after we check. Confirm the details on the camp’s own website and contact Quest Camp directly before you register or pay. Last checked August 2026.
