Offers a good skills type basketball workout and a chance to play tournament level games. My daughter has a lot of fun and genuinely enjoys the hard work. Seems to be one of the few reasonably priced basketball options in Vancouver area. However, I feel like some teams are a lower coaching priority and more of a filler for the overall Protech program. I was hoping for more competitive game level, team playing and individual player feedback during games and practices. Team placement is ambiguous and inconsistent. One child of mine didn't make a team but he is relatively average skillset compared to others at tryouts (team formed with under 10 on roster). My other child made a team which has 4 players below average skill level (has 10 on roster). Honestly, a bit of a frustrating outcome with below expectation feedback when paying $25 for tryout fee. It would be helpful if a coaching strategy for each season with regards to game roster be communicated prior to paying/committing to make sure it aligns with your child's goals/desires/expectations. Player feedback from games is minimal depending on which coach(es) oversees the game. Practices and game play need to be better aligned (from coaching, position, game strategy, etc.) *ALL* Protech games I have watched over last 5 months are based on position-less offense running a constant, never ending, 5 out motion which doesn't utilize the natural abilities of some players. Good thing: this 5-out works well for *some players and allows them opportunities to handle ball and drive/attack hoop and equal scoring opportunities during games. Downside: teams I'm familiar with have very little to no "team" relationship and team playing which puts players at a perceptible disadvantage during tournaments (watching the games seem like 1+1+1+1+1, vs. 5). Would love the players to compete in a tournament by playing as a whole team while using & better developing their individual, natural and instinctive strengths.

Pro tech is by far one of the best sports program in the area. Its reach to young athletes is far greater than just basketball. With one of the most skilled coaches at the helm, you will not find a coach more dedicated to building a program or developing kids in our area! Protech offers teams, skills building, 1 on 1s and small group training that have greatly helped kids be better basketball players but also better people!

I really wanted to like this program as my son has played off and on with them for years but has had negative experiences several seasons in a row. There’s a lack of consistency with coaches and not a lot of feedback on development, even when that question is asked. For the amount of money paid per season, I expect better. They’ll gladly charge you $600 for a season though when it works best for them.

Excellent top notch basketball program. Our family feels super fortunate this option is in our area. Our initial experience with local AAU clubs left us feeling like we had been scammed. We have been with Protech since they launched in SW Washington and we haven't looked back! Their pricing is transparent and fair for the elite training they provide for their athletes. Most importantly this club focuses on the athlete as a whole. Training includes development of mind, body, and spirit so these kids will be set up for success both on and off the court.

Theo is hands down an amazing coach! He goes beyond the basics and puts in the time and energy for kids to understand the game and learn how to really play basketball on the court. He knows how to coach! Theo coached my son from 3rd grade to 8th grade and he’s now playing D1 basketball at Marist college in New York. Theo’s coaching was instrumental in my son’s success, both on and off the court.
