Power Cheer has done wonders for my daughter’s growth both as an athlete and as a person. The 2025–2026 season was our very first season in cheer, and we were first introduced to the program through a summer camp they hosted. From the moment camp ended, my daughter begged to go back. After attending two trial classes, she was completely hooked. As a former sideline and all-star cheerleader myself, with years of experience in the sport, I was excited to see her find something she truly loved. Power Cheer is an incredible place for beginners with no prior experience, but it’s also a great environment for athletes at every level who want to continue growing and improving. One thing that stands out most is the dedication of the coaching staff. The head coach is quick to step in, help, and ensure every athlete—regardless of experience—is taught properly and thoroughly. I’ve personally witnessed the love, commitment, and hard work that goes into every part of the program, from the smallest details to performances and travel opportunities. For a nonprofit organization, their sense of community is truly amazing. That support starts within the gym among the athletes and families and extends throughout the surrounding community as well. My daughter has experienced more this year through this program than either of us ever imagined possible from a single sport. My hat goes off to the head organizer, who truly pours her whole heart into this program. The coaches are equally passionate, involved, and dedicated to the values and principles the program is built on. There is a wonderful balance of discipline, structure, fun, and encouragement that creates such a positive environment for the athletes. I encourage everyone I know to check out Power Cheer. It has been an amazing experience for our family, and we are so grateful to be part of it.

At first, our experience was great. After roughly 3 years, we decided to leave so our daughter could develop her skills on a higher level. Once we left, many things came out about the coaching staff. There were so many girls who gave up on cheering all together because some of the coaches completely destroyed their confidence and drive. There was an athlete who got fat shamed by one of the coaches which is absolutely unacceptable. Athletes left mid-season multiple times and caused constant changes in routines which put girls at risk of injuries. Our daughter constantly wanted to skip practices because she was miserable. The coaching staff was constantly filled with drama to where a coach left mid-season and took their daughter off the team. We went to an out of state competition where the head coach/owner allowed their daughter to bring her 21 year old boyfriend. It wasn’t communicated to parents which was disappointing especially since there were parents who couldn’t travel with their kids. He also was hanging out with the girls even in the pool. Overall, not a great environment and wouldn’t recommend.

Very early on I was impressed, head coach talks a good talk. Theres a lot that happened throughout the season that is not ok, girls getting hurt because the training is all done by volunteers and none with real experience in cheer. This team has potential but someone with REAL experience needs to run it. Lots of crazy things were revealed by several ex coaches when they quit that would concern any parent. I would not recommend this team to anyone unless they replace the head coach.

I have consistently found the staff at this gym to be courteous and respectful towards my family and me. Regardless of one's athletic background or role—be it athlete, parent, or sibling—the coaches foster an inclusive environment and maintain a positive attitude. The entire team demonstrates a clear passion for their work. I highly recommend this cheer program to any parent considering enrolling their child.
