Mudsock Youth Athletics is a large volunteer-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Fishers that has provided out-of-school recreational sports for about 30 years, serving roughly 10,000 youth. It offers seasonal leagues in baseball/softball, basketball, cheer, football, field hockey, lacrosse, rugby, soccer, track/cross country, and volleyball rather than a summer camp.

★★★★★Brooke RI signed my son up to play basketball with his school friends. It is great practice and a fun environment! They may not have the best uniforms, but they do have great parent coaches and a consistent schedule. The app for communication and schedule is great, you can watch their games on live stream and chat between coaches and team. Shoutout to Micci Harris (she works at Mudsock office) she has helped us with so much, even helping us find my son’s jacket that he left in the gym after a game. And we love our coaches, The Harts!
★★★★★Sarah BlackledgeMy son has played two seasons of soccer and one season of basketball with Mudsocks Youth Athletics. He’s not super into sports and isn’t the most skilled player, but he had a genuinely great time every season—and would absolutely do it again. The volunteer coaches and referees were wonderful to watch in action: patient, encouraging, and clearly there for the kids. Every game felt like a celebration of effort and fun. The kids had a blast, and the parents had just as much fun cheering them on. We’re grateful for the positive, inclusive environment Mudsocks creates.
★JanetI have been involved in youth soccer since my child was in kindergarten, and this has been one of the most disappointing experiences. If you expect your child to receive fair playing opportunities, I strongly advise against registering for this league. Throughout the season, I witnessed clear favoritism, with some children repeatedly given opportunities while others were consistently left out or restricted to the same position. This kind of environment teaches neither fairness nor teamwork — not to the children being excluded, nor to those benefiting from the imbalance. It is discouraging to see such a lack of fairness and consideration in a program that is supposed to support all kids. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this league to families who value a positive and developmental experience for their children.
★★★★★Morgan CooperWe have been a part of Mudsock for 6 years now. We continue to see our kids learn, make friends and find love for new sports. Not many communities have this type of set up and it does set itself apart with the community they have built and the culture they foster.
★LexxbagzzDefinitely not dealing with mudsocks football after this season, there is no unity within the team my son is on and he has NEVER played football so if your kid has no experience this is NOT the league for them. Very awkward coaches with little to no communication and some of the parents are silly as well. I have no desire to argue with a bunch of adults over children’s football. 100% not recommended
