The Pontiac Yacht Club hosts a decades-old junior sailing camp for kids ages 6 to 18 on Cass Lake near Orchard Lake, taught by US Sailing certified instructors on boats supplied by the Pontiac Sailing Education Foundation. Beginners through advanced racers learn water safety, sailing fundamentals, and knots, with STEM activities woven in. The camp runs 9am to 3pm with optional early drop-off and after-care, and the second week includes a sail across the lake to Dodge Park.
