Powered by GoogleThis gym is great but the men’s shower locker room area has some issues. Pretty sure at night the dry sauna is never cleaned and has layers of sweat and filth every morning. Some homeless (I speculate) use the area and leave it looking like what you see under bridges on the freeway. $50 bucks a month to use this gym and the filth is included for free. Please do a better job!
I couldnt say enough about Tatyana if I tried. If you get the pleasure of working with her at all just know youre lucky. She is super amazing and empathic, super helpful, and great with children, that was just a plus. I cant thank you enough for helping me little family today. So thank you.
The Plum Street YMCA is such a welcoming place! I really enjoy the group classes, especially BodyPump and BodyBalance. The instructors are excellent—encouraging, knowledgeable, and great at making everyone feel included. I also love that the classes bring together people of all levels and backgrounds, which makes it feel supportive and fun. I definitely feel stronger since I started coming here!
Moved into the neighborhood this week and looking for a gym to join. I walked in today to ask for a tour. Two front desk attendants, one helping someone and the other on computer. Neither one acknowledged me. I stood waiting for assistance approximately 5 min. No eye contact or greeting. The weight room is small and appears the floor space would get cramped if more than 20 people decided to lift at the same time. The place looks outdated. I was hoping a small local ymca would be a friendly welcoming place but this one is not.
REALLY nice, caring, and friendly people working here! High-quality equipment and not overly crowded. Very clean! Good vibes! It's convenient if you live/ work near downtown. I will say -- for a single person that doesn't qualify for a low income discount -- they're MUCH more expensive than for-profit fitness places like Planet Fitness.
