Pilot Lake Wilderness Camp is a rustic, seasonal summer camp in the Sierra Nevada near La Porte, California, at about 5,800 feet elevation. Founded in 1964 with Regular Baptist roots, it centers on a six-acre lake where campers canoe, kayak, paddleboard, swim and fish, with a lodge housing a cafeteria, game room and fireside chapel plus cabins for overnight stays. It also offers family camping and RV/tent sites.

We have been going here for years with our MGC youth. Really great campground and staff that manages the area. There are basketball courts, grassy area for volleyball or other sports, there’s a clean lake to swim in, a dock, with rope swing, building with the cafeteria, pool table, ping pong, foosball, and an outdoor area for church services. Cabins outside are good with bunks and mattresses. Overall very nice area it’s well maintained and has been a blessing to come here.

I am 65 now, but I still have the fondest & warmest childhood memories of going to Bible camp there! I was 10 years old & our pastor from the Calvary Baptist church, took a small group of us kids from Susanville!

What a jewel tucked away in the sierra's, a pristine lake covering 20 or so acres, stocked with trout periodically and great for swimming, pedal boats, paddle boards, kayaks and what have you. Take a ride on the flying fox cable swing if you dare!!! The lodge is clean and well stocked for games and comfort, the meadow is large enough for full sized rigs and good sized gatherings. Geared towards Christian fellowship and we go with Calvary Baptist on Labor day and have a great end to the summer. No individual campfires but there is a large gathering area with a firepit for smoors, hotdogs, coco and what have you. The mornings are peaceful and quiet,( a little bit of what is in store for us in heaven) the weather is pleasantly cool at this elevation, even cold so keep a light coat handy, and the occasional cloudburst is not out of the question. God bless Rick, Rondi and crew
