Sierra Nevada Journeys Outdoor Education Camp

Sierra Nevada Journeys runs a week-long overnight summer camp at its 515-acre Grizzly Creek Ranch near Portola (about 50 minutes north of Truckee) for youth ages 8-18. Campers stay Sunday through Friday in heated cabins and take part in kayaking, hiking, high ropes, archery, and campfires, building confidence, teamwork, and leadership. The nonprofit emphasizes access for low-income youth alongside its school-year outdoor-science programs.

All sessions are $1,250 for the week - five nights, from Sunday afternoon to Friday morning. A $200 deposit is due at the time of registration

The cabins do not have showers, you take showers in your color’s AC (activity center) which has two showers and a bathroom PER STALL there is two. Heavily recommend from a child who went there themselves.
