Piedmont Youth Soccer League is a nonprofit soccer organization serving Martinsville and Henry County, offering recreational soccer for boys and girls from U-4 through U-18 plus a travel program competing in the Blue Ridge Soccer League. Alongside its seasonal leagues, PYSL states it runs summer soccer camps and summer open-play sessions for extra instruction, as well as a winter indoor league. Programs are based at the Smith River Sports Complex on Irisburg Road in Axton, which has two synthetic turf fields and three lighted Bermuda grass fields.
