Southside Soccer Club (the SSC Sting) is a Virginia Youth Soccer Association-sanctioned youth soccer club based at Blairs Middle School in Blairs, serving Pittsylvania County and the Danville area. The club fields multiple levels of play including a Youth Academy program intended to move players toward a higher level. Both my son and daughter really enjoyed participating in the Club's seasonal events. My daughter especially laments aging out. The kids who play here make connections with other players throughout Pittsylvania County. My son knows so many good local players. They all have played together or against each other for years. It is exciting to watch all of them grow up. The Club allowed me to make connections with other wonderful parents who volunteer their time and talents. The volunteers make the Club a very special place for our community. Consider volunteering if you get involved. Be a team mom, assistant coach, or coach. You don't have to be perfect. Questions are answered. Support is there if you need it.
