I drove eight hours with my kid to compete in this event. I only asked to fill my water bottle at the water fountain by the wall, yet the staff kept fixating on whether I had a paid entry ticket. I have no intention of watching the competition or going inside the venue at all. I would absolutely buy a ticket if I needed to enter, but honestly, I have no such need right now. I have visited YMCA facilities across many different states. This location truly has beautiful buildings and well-built amenities. Unfortunately, the staff’s rigid customer service feels like the classic saying “all that glitters is not gold”—their responses came off robotic, almost like an AI with no flexibility. That said, someone later told me there were other water fountains in different areas, so I’m grateful this gorgeous facility at least allowed me to get some drinking water.

I've had great experiences at this Y. Programs are well-planned. Excellent facilities.

This is the worst experience I’ve ever had at YMCA. We had very good experience at Doylestown YMCA and had membership with them for a year. We moved from Doylestown YMCA since Jan. I registered my son for swim lessons at Jan 5 and get our membership at Jan 11th because we relocated to new place at Jan 8. They refused to give us membership price. And they don’t offer make up lessons if they close because of weather. Also, the worst part is water in the swimming pool is cold! My son wants to continue play in the pool after swim class and he got orange band few weeks earlier. The guard told me I have to take out him from water and bring him to the front desk to get the orange band. It’s a long walk from pool to front desk. Plus their universal shower room is very small and dirty. When I ask to cancel our membership at mid of Feb because all the issues, the front desk told me I need to give 30 days notice which means I want to cancel my membership I need to pay one more month and continue our bad experience till the end of March. I really can’t stand this any more. Please don’t go to this YMCA. Don’t get fool of their review rate! Go to other YMCA if you can.

I have been a member at the Phoenixville YMCA for almost 30 years. The basketball courts are in horrendous condition. With the increased costs in membership fees you would think they would make cleanliness and safety a priority. When camp is finished the staff pushes piles of trash and debris underneath the basketball rims and it stays there till closing time. The courts have so much dust and dirt on them that you cannot get traction and slip. It really is a safety hazard. The nets on the rims are always ripped. Children’s clothes from camp are scattered throughout the gymnasium. Food and liquids are stuck to the court. It’s despicable. Whoever is in charge of managing the facility is doing a terrible job. And this is a problem being voiced by many members. We pay our hard earned money to be members at the YMCA and we expect the facilities to be in good condition. This is unacceptable. Make the necessary changes and please correct this problem.

Beautiful outdoor swimming pool for family in summer. All lifeguards are very friendly as well as being strict about kids safety.
