Phoenix Performing Arts, at 263 E. Mill St. in Akron, provides performing-arts programs for northeast Ohio youth with an emphasis on inclusion and fundamentals. Its summer offerings include Theatrical Tales Camp for ages 5-10, a half-day camp running Monday to Friday 9:00am-1:00pm on a theme of animals in theatre; a Teen Edition camp for ages 13-18 spanning several weeks in July; and the Phoenix Pop Chorus, a vocal ensemble for ages 12 and up working with a professional composer on harmony and stage presence.
