Patterson Park Community Center, operated by City of Akron Recreation & Parks, runs an eight-week summer Fun Camp for boys and girls ages 6-10, Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with breakfast, lunch, arts and crafts, splash-pad time, and weekly field trips to places like the Akron Zoo and Cuyahoga Valley National Park. A separate Basketball Skill Set Camp is offered for ages 8-11.

Don't advertise food 2 times a day for CHILDREN and not show up. Kids probably walk hungry very far, to get here and arrive worse. Also splash pad is closed. EDITED I did call the City and they opened splash pad same day. I haven't been back for the lunch to see if that was just a one time thing. Some times the big kid's are breaking rules and makes it hard for the little one's to not also. I changed my rating to a higher star based on it is really a great place when running smoothly.

★★★★★C IIt was pretty warm out, so I looked for a splash pad, in Akron. Here is it. This is an AWESOME splash pad. It was very clean and kid friendly. The community center, even provided bathroom access. If you want to take your children to a nice place to cool off, go here. When they are done there is a playground, basketball court and a mock soccer field.
